"In every Life a Little Rain Must Fall"

Our road through life has many pit falls and side tracks. Just when life seems to be good, wham! Something bad happens and the result is that we get the wind knocked out of us. We fall flat on our face, or at least we stumble to our knees. We might even wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and say, what an ugly guy (or gal). Do I know you? or maybe, where did you come from? If we contemplate long enough for the understanding of why life is the way it is, we should eventually come up with the truth. The truth is, we are human and nothing will change that. But there is someone who can change our life and the way we think. I'll talk about him later.

In every life a little rain must fall. Have you ever heard that before? It means no matter how good life may seem, at some point something will happen to upset your apple cart. Just think! If nothing negative ever happened to us, where would the opportunities for us to grow into something better come from? It doesn't matter if you are rich, strong, or good looking, or it you are poor, homeless, or ugly. Life will always have it's challenges.

Many folks never come to understand why life is the way it is. When they feel they have been given a lemon in life, they start blaming someone else for their folly. Their blame always seems to be directed toward be their friends and loved ones, co-workers, society, or parents. and in many instances, they try to blame God himself. Their understanding of why they do not have what others have, such as good looks, good health, lots of money, or whatever, becomes a little twisted in their minds. They naturally choose to become angry, jealous, bitter, or just stop careing about life or people. They fail to understand that no matter what life has to offer, they have a choice. They CHOOSE how to act or react in any given situation and their emotions turn to hate. Those whom have become bitter or jealous and seem to hate the world have made the wrong choices. We can only hope that we are not one of those people and have made the right choices on how to deal with life's lemons. Maybe we need to bring a glass of lemonaide to those who have made a mess of things.
When people approach the negatives in their lives with positive attitudes, they empower themselves to make the right choices which lead to positive change. In most cases, it enables them to make the right decisions on how to grow into better, stronger, more resilient people. Positive attitudes give courage! Something else to ponder; some people fail to understand they need the help of someone else who can offer encouragement and hold them accountable in their desire to change. They need someone to lean on in a time of weakness, and praise them when they do something good. Those who know God will understand, those who don't, please bear with me.

People need to understand that they are never alone in any circumstance. Even if you are alone on a life raft in the middle of an ocean, you are still not alone. Even in such a situation you always have a choice to make. You will either choose the devil who breeds despair into your mind, or you will have God who will give you hope. In any situation you have decisions to make. Your relationship with, or lack of relationship with God will be the determining factor on how you decide to accept or fight through your negative situations.

People have done amazing things through their relationship with God. Before they accepted Jesus into their lives, they had some circumstance or problem in their lives which brought them to their knees and ultimately, their decision to accept Christ and to follow him. Only He can give the courage and the power to change your life forever into something beautiful and eternally positive. It doesn't mean the rain won't ever fall on you again because even a christian will have problems. We just learn how to deal with them through prayer. Jesus gives you comfort, encouragement, hope and the understanding on how to grow through any situation, any discomfort, or any loss you may have in your life. If you ask him, he will place someone in your life to hold you accountable to the choices you make.

On another note, maybe you don't think anything is wrong at all in your life. Everything is going your way. You have the money you need, the mate of your dreams, the right job, or whatever! The truth is, you are still human! You still have a destiny to meet Jesus on your judgment day. He doesn't care how rich or poor you are, nor does he care how good you have been. What he does care about is you! He cares about your soul and where you will spend your eternity. Our lives here on earth are only a droplet within the mist of time. Your body is temporal! Your soul is eternal! The decisions you make in life have no power whatsoever compared to the one decision you need to make concerning your eternal soul. If you choose wrong, you will spend your eternity in darkness separated form God and have the same destination as the devil himself. If you choose correctly, you will spend eternity with God in the light of his Kingdom of heaven. Read on and I will tell you more as these pages open up more of the truth you need to hear.

"Just One of Life's Storms!"

In the beginning of May of 2008 I was on track to retire in January 2010 and most of our debt paid off by that time. This is just another example of a little storm in my life. Previously in March I had a physical check up. My doctor noticed that I was starting to have some physical problems based on what my lab tests showed. He wanted me to go to the VA Hospital in Prescott, AZ for some tests. One of the problems I had been having was failing eyesight in my right eye. So he set up the appointments for May 21st.

and broke a toe. I couldn't go to work and since I was a truck driver, my boss wasn't happy to say the least. I had already scheduled time off for my doctor's appointment the following week, but life happens and I couldn't work.

I went to my appointment in Prescott on the 21st as scheduled. My wife and I stayed in Prescott overnight just in case we were needed the next day. It was a good decision. I had three tests done. My eyes were checked, my abdomen was checked, and a CT scan of my head was also done. Later in the day my wife got a call from her office saying that I was to call my doctor right away. I called the number which was the VA in Kingman. They said I needed to come in right away to see the doctor. I told them I was still in Prescott and would be there over night. The earliest I could come in was on Friday. She set the appointment for nine in the morning. I gave her my cell phone number just in case someone needed to get in touch with me. At 7:30 in the morning my doctor called and told me I needed to go back to the hospital for an immediate MRI of my head. Something showed up and needed to be checked out. So we went back to the hospital.

God knew all the time that I needed to have those tests done. He was watching over me and knew what was happening in my body. He made all the arrangements in advance for the flow of information and the results to be done in His timing. I just thought I would share that with you before I went on.

As of May 22nd my hopes and dreams for the future got turned upside down when the doctor read the MRI results. I had a brain tumor! He also said I would not be able to drive at all untill it was removed and I gained my full sight back. I was grounded! Let me shorten this a little. I lost my job instantly. My health had been pretty good up until now; now it was not. Yes in every life a little rain must fall even on the Christians.

These are the times that call for strong faith and hope that God will walk us through these storms. He is always faithful even if we are not! We need to place our complete trust in Him and no matter what happens in our lives, our will should be that His Will be done in every detail that He will be glorfied, now and always.

"Some More Truth!"

As I have already mentioned above. God gave us the freedom of choice. Many choose poorly and abuse this freedom. It's no wonder that people are so screwed up personally and our country as a nation is sinking as a world power. We choose to be miserable or to be happy; to be in debt or gain financial freedom; to love or not to love; to lie or to tell the truth. (I think another word for liar is politician but that is just a note to the wise.) The underlying problem with people is they want to be the lord of our own lives. They do not understand that they are controlled by their own selfishness which leaves no room for God to work in their lives. This is called sin! We chose to separate ourselves from God by trying to live our lives instead of His way. We choose to control our own destiny to such a point that everything in life becomes one gigantic mess. We often learn too late, that we are far too vulnerable to the devils skeems and influences. We unfortunately, keep digging ourselves deeper into a hole which soon becomes a bottomless pit with seemingly, no way out. Some people get depressed and begin to doubt their self-worth. They invite others to join their outrageous "pity party" just to make excuses for their failures. "What did I do to deserve this?" Or "Why does life have to be so mean to me?" The truth is, people turn their backs on God, the very person who gave us the freedom to make our own choices and decisions in the first place. If people would stop doing the things they do and think clearly, they would finally understand that we are here on earth to bring Glory to God. We belong to Him and not ourselves or anyone else. When we deny God our devotion and our lives, we are accepting the devils terms for living. When things go wrong we blame God and not the obvious, ourselves.

There are strong elements that are used by satin to distract and confuse people. There are no temptations given by God. Only the devil does that. In our beloved country the political left wants to destroy Christianity and set in it's place a socialistic form of Government which leaves God out of everything. Any other non-threatening religion is tolerable because it is not threatening their power or way of life. Most Communist countries seem to allow that! In some places if you mention Christ you are quickly ushered out or told to shut up. In the Muslim world you are at risk of losing your life if you mention Christ, carry a Bible, or you claim to be a Christian. According to the gay and lesbian movement, there is NO Freedom of speech when it comes to talking about Jesus. We are supposed to tolerate the gay lifestyle and marriages when in fact, these moral failings are explicitly forbidden in the Bible. These are only a couple of examples of where people have turned away from God and chose to live lives their way. Do I hate gays? No! I believe in the teaching of God through His Holy Word, the Bible. Though people live a sinful lifestyle, God still loves them and wants them to turn away from their sin back to Him.

There comes a point in life when people start to ask themselves questions such as, "Where has my life gone? What have I accomplished? Why haven't I achieved my goals and dreams? Why has my family turned out the way it has? What did I do to get so screwed up? What good is all this money or all my toys when I am dead? Why don't I have love in my life?" Some of these sound familiar?

There are no "if only's"in life. "If only" I had done this or that way back when, I'd be doing just fine now! "If only" I had married the other person I'd be happier now! "If only" I took the other job I'd be rich right now! "If only" I made the right decision here or there I'd be somewhere else." Wouldn't it be nice if people could get it right the fist time around? You can't go back to recapture the past, but there is something you can do to keep the "if only's" from ever coming around again. The answer is to make the right decision right now. Are you still with me? Good!

You must start planing your future from this day forward with the right end results in mind. One very important decision that must be made to enable the transformation of your life to become completely and forever changed and on the path to perfection, is just a few moments away. But you must really want it with all your heart for it to be a success.

This is a decision to make a commitment. This commitment will enable you to make right choices in the future. This commitment will give you "Joy" in all circumstances. Your commitment will bring about a permanent counselor who will guide you into the truths of life and happiness. Many people just don't understand that they are the victims of their own decisions and bad choices. Contrarily they can have an impact in their blessings by making the right decision that will effect them for the rest of time. How do you make the right decision? How do you get the counselor to guide you? Please read on!

Before you can have this counselor in your life your decision must be to accept Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and master! When you have prayed to him for the forgiveness of your sins and invite him into your heart, he will come in and take over your life. You chose to give him control! You choose to stop being your own lord and master of your life by handing over the reins to him. He will give you the Holy Spirit to be the counselor who will guide you in every aspect of your life. He will lead you In all decisions, and all relationships, and especially in your appreciation of your self when you realize that he loves you for you.

Give God the control so that you can begin to realize what true love, joy, and happiness really means and how you can live and enjoy them. Jesus doesn't promise there will be no problems while you live in this world, but he does promise that he will never leave us or allow us to face problems alone. He tells us to live in the world but not to be a part of it for we belong to Him and He will set us free from the punishment of sin. He will always be with us in all circumstances and every situation. He is a true friend. He is the only way to the Father in heaven. It is only through Him that your life will have true meaning. Only He has the power to save you and to give you eternal life with him. The decision is yours alone. No one can force you! The devil will try to trick you by puting doubt into your mind. So if it is your choice to follow Him and change your life, please continue to the page that will offer you "Salvation" and I will talk twith you more there. However, If you choose not to accept Jesus, that is okay too. Just make sure you understand that you are turning away from the truth, away from God, and back in to a dark world where the devil will continue to have his way with you. Some people like their sinful lifestyle and know nothing different. God knows who they are and they are beyond hope. It is just a matter of time when they will see the truth and have to stand before Jesus and face their judgement for all eternity. If you think I am wrong and in error, it is your freedom to think that. I would rather take my chances of erring on the side of truth than to be caught with my pants down. If I am wrong and you are right, it won't matter, but if I am right it will matter for all eternity!

People everywhere need friends. Jesus is our friend and our God. At this point I would like to share a poem that I wrote some time ago. I hope you enjoy it!

"Count Me A Friend Lord!"

Count me a friend, Lord! Open my eyes and help me to see
Thy glorious riches you have provided for me.
Give to me your promises so sweet
That fulfillment in life is when you, my Savior, I can meet.

Count me a friend, Lord, whom I confess all my sins, the great and the small,
And make my living ambition to give you my all.
Make me a lamppost bearing your light,
That all who can see will love you and know it's right.

Count me a friend, Lord this life so short that in a flash comes to end,
But by your eternal love, my spirit, to our Father you will send.
There are glorious riches for God's children in heaven, I've your word.
Yet for now, through my heart, I share the riches of love found in you, my Lord.

Bless me, Father, and count me a friend,
Of my Lord Jesus whom I choose to serve through my end.
Comfort me Jesus in my moments of need,
And help me to share you by the planting of your seed.

Count me a friend, Lord, though my heart be willing and my flesh be weak,
Keep me from sin and help me to be meek.
Encourage me Lord and grant me this wish,
That I might be strong and help net your fish.

Count me a friend, Lord, a helper, and to the end,
Grant me the courage that against flaming arrows I shall not bend.
When my life here is finished and to my judgement you send me,
I pray now that by then, Lord, I have helped so set one more soul free.
